Camen was a collaborative industrial design project that looked to create a grooming solution for travellers.
Our user rarely had long term access to power, and needed a product small and light enough to carry in their backpack. Camen offers clear advantages with it's quick charging battery as well as being far smaller and as much as two-thirds lighter than competitor trimmers, with built in length adjustment negating the need for extra accessories. It's unique double blade design allows the product to be rotated to any angle when trimming, and the form and grip placement offer obvious ergonomic advantages, observed through user testing. Early semiotic analysis influenced the unique styling and ensured the form was appropriate for our target market.
