Milan Textiles offers handmade textile products, including physical goods and bespoke consultancy or research services.

For the purposes of these terms, "we", "us", or "our" refers to Milan Textiles, and "you" refers to any customer, visitor, or client.

Our products are made to order or produced in small, limited runs using handcrafted methods. We offer:

• Physical goods such as handmade garments and textile objects

• Custom and commissioned textile pieces

• Research, consultancy, and creative direction related to textiles and fashion

• We accept payments via PayPal and credit/debit card using Squarespace’s secure checkout system.

• Prices displayed include VAT (where applicable).

• For standard items (i.e., listed in the shop and not custom-made), payment is taken at the time of ordering.

• For custom work, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins. The final 50% is due on completion and must be paid before the item is dispatched. If the final balance is not paid within 30 days of completion, Milan Textiles reserves the right to retain or resell the item. The initial deposit will not be refunded.

• Milan Textiles reserves the right to decline commissions or custom project requests at its discretion.

• All pricing estimates for commissioned work are subject to change if material costs or project scope change significantly. Clients will be informed promptly, and no work will proceed without mutual agreement.

• If the final payment for a custom piece is not received, Milan Textiles reserves the right to withhold delivery of the item.

• We ship internationally with tracked shipping as standard.

• For in-stock items, please allow 2–3 business days for dispatch. Custom pieces will have variable timelines based on the scope of the project — these will be discussed and agreed upon at project start.

• Shipping costs and delivery timeframes will be displayed at checkout.

• Buyers are responsible for any customs or import taxes that may apply in their country.

• Milan Textiles is not liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, supply chain disruption, strikes, natural disasters, or pandemics.

We believe in open communication — if something goes wrong, please contact us and we’ll do our best to resolve it fairly.

• Standard (non-custom) items may be returned within 14 days of receipt at the buyer’s expense, provided they are unused and in original condition.

• Custom or made-to-order items are non-refundable due to their bespoke nature.

• In rare cases, and at our sole discretion, we may agree to alter or remake a custom piece. These exceptions are handled on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.

• If a custom item does not fit due to incorrect measurements provided by the customer, we are not responsible for alterations or refunds. We may agree to remake or alter the item for an additional cost, but the original deposit will not be refunded.

• Milan Textiles covers return shipping costs only if an item is faulty or if the error is ours.

• Returns due to a change of mind, dislike of colour or texture, or incorrect sizing (when the provided measurements were inaccurate) are the buyer’s responsibility.

• Please note that due to the nature of handmade production and variations in screen display, minor differences in colour, texture, or pattern may occur. These are not considered faults.

• All designs, patterns, concepts, and creations by Milan Textiles remain the intellectual property of Milan Textiles. No part of our products or brand aesthetic may be copied, reproduced, or resold — including designs heavily inspired by our visual language.

• Where custom research or design services are undertaken, the concept work, research, final designs and related intellectual property are owned by Milan Textiles unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to project start.

• By submitting any content, ideas, or materials to Milan Textiles, you confirm that you have the legal right to do so. Unless explicitly agreed otherwise, all material provided to us will be treated as non-proprietary and non-confidential.

• All images, text, graphics, and content on this website are the copyright of Milan Textiles and may not be copied, shared, or reproduced without prior written permission.

• To purchase from our website, you must be at least 18 years old or have the permission and supervision of a legal guardian.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Milan Textiles is not liable for:

• Any indirect or consequential loss

• Delays outside of our control (e.g. courier delays, natural disasters)

• Errors resulting from inaccurate information provided by you

Our liability for any claim will be limited to the amount paid by you for the product or service in question.

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted here, and your continued use of the site after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
