Long Kilt

The long kilt is a common garment referenced in Middle Kingdom artwork. Usually depicted worn over a loincloth and shendyt, the garment is regularly shown as being constructed from a sheer, almost transparent linen. The waistband of the kilt is an unfinished fringed selvedge.
