A hand sewn historical reproduction of an Ancient Egyptian kilt garment

Shendyt

ANCIENT EGYPT
3100 - 1070 BCE

The Shendyt is a frequently depicted men’s garment in Dynastic Egypt but remains illusive in the archaeological record. This interpretation is based upon the numerous depictions of the garment in Egyptian art, and personal experimentation with the form and drape of Dynastic Period garments.
